What is SCRIP?
SCRIP is a monthly sale of gift cards to places you already shop. Merchants pay a percentage of the gift card value back to the student through our booster organization. For example: Buy a $100 Fred Meyer gift card that can be used for anything at Fred Meyer, including gas. Fred Meyer gives 3% or $3 back to your student's account. Krispy Kreme pays 45% back on a dozen donuts - $4.05 put in your student's account from a $9 purchase.
What can the money be used for?
Any music related purchase. Funds can be used for program fees, travel, lessons, reeds.....just to name a few.
How do I order SCRIP / Gift Cards?
Every month, usually the second week, the SCRIP / Gift Card order is due in the band room mailbox by Wednesday at 2:30 pm, except November, due to Veterans Day. Fill out the form, put it in an envelope with a check made out to MVHSBB and write "SCRIP" on the outside of the envelope. Have your student put it in the band room mailbox. REMEMBER - many students forget to put the order in the box on time. It is okay to put your order in before the deadline. Click here for current SCRIP / Gift Card order due dates.
Where and when do I pick up my order?
Orders are ready to pick up after school on the Friday one week after the order is due. For example, the order is due Wednesday September 14th. The order will be available to pick up on Friday September 23rd.
Please note: Businesses are added and taken off the list sometimes, so please get a current form here or by the Booster mailbox in the Band Room.
